Your privacy and protection online is of utmost importance to us. We will not give out or sell any information (especially email addresses) to anyone without your permission. Any information collected is only used in the development of the Australia's The Well Bookshop website.

You can have complete peace of mind that your information is stored securely and can restrict this information from any other purpose other than for the maintenance of your account and the website. We will always notify you when information may be used by others and you have complete control over its use.

 

Security
All credit card transactions are conducted offline and have no involvement with the internet.

Receipt of all credit card transactions are done using the highest level of internet security available to us, 40 bit SSL security.

Once received, the credit card details are stored offline in a restricted area. Only a few details are stored online in order for you to identify which card to use in the future.

We have a firm commitment to embracing future security technologies as they become available and commonplace.

You may see a warning when switching between secure and non-secure modes, however this is nothing to be alarmed about - we will only take credit card details in the secure part of our website.

 

Company History & Information

Born in November 1994, The Well was a lifelong dream of our manager, Denise Nicholson, to run a place of aesthetics and beauty which allows people to enjoy the good things in life, meet and network.

The Well Subiaco has provided a space for book clubs to meet - over coffee, cake and delicious food - and talk about the books they are reading and their lives. We have provided Perth with a quality selection of titles and assisted people purchase the perfect gift or a read suitable for them.

Now, Subiaco is moving to a new location - in Shenton Park. The new location allows easier access, more parking, and is in a shopping village for greater convenience. Shenton Park opens January 14th 2002.

Australia's The Well Bookshop, our online store, has operated since 1995 - and was the first of its kind (independent, online and Australian). Only one other Australian bookstore was online when we opened our virtual doors - the University's shop.

In January 2000 a second physical store opened - in Applecross, south of the river. After two years of successful trading, The Well Applecross is a part of the community. Specialising in excellent children's books as well as popular and fascinating reads, the second Well store is a huge success.

We are proudly Western Australian owned and run.

Over the past seven years, The Well stores have been host to famous and wonderful authors, looked after hundreds of book club members and received considerable media attention in The Australian, The Australian Financial Review, Australian Bookseller & Publisher, BankWest publications, Western Australian Government E-Commerce manuals, ABC radio, television and various other magazines.

 

Contact Information
