The Well is about building an online literary community and an exciting and fun place to explore and discuss literature. Here's how you, as an author, can get involved. Publishers can get involved by informing the authors they represent.

 

1. Bookplates
   Sign bookplates and send them to us. This is the best thing you can do.
2. Check Your Books Are In The Database
   Do a search for your name or author's names and let us know what is missing. If you are able to provide us with book details in electronic format, we can get them online in no time.
3. Leave Comments At The Book Pages
   It takes no time at all and is quite a lot of fun. We feel information is the key to success online so be honest and express yourself as much as possible.
4. Scan your book covers and email them to us
   We use JPG however we can accept BMP or GIF. We also prefer the size at 100 width (and usually around 150 height but that is flexible). If you cannot resize or convert them, we can, however this will delay them getting online.
5. Do an online interview
   These are the greatest fun and very simple. We will read the book you are promoting, then send you (via email, fax or post) a list of questions. You can answer them as you wish in your own time and send them back. We then cut it together and publish it online. Publisher note: We require a gratis copy of the book to read.
6. Do a book signing
   If you are in Perth or plan to be, we have a reasonably large store which is also a cafe and can hold scores of guests to hear you talk and\or read from your book, with signings and sales afterwards. We have had tremendous success in the past and use a paper and email newsletter, the website and other advertisements to promote the events. Carmel Bird, Carolyn Polizzotto are just a few big names who have enjoyed The Well's hospitality and a successful and rewarding book signing.
