Since retiring from science she has translated some two dozen books, mostly literary fiction and nonfiction published in the UK, US, Australia and Norway, and served as reviews editor at Swedish Book Review between 2010 and 2015. She also writes her own literary journalism in English and Swedish, and has published a book of her own, Scotland's Landscape: Endangered Icon, on landscape, identity and environmental awareness in Scotland. She lives in the Scottish countryside. In this catalogue she is credited as the translator of Karin Smirnoff's My Brother, the only book of the Jana Kippo trilogy published in English to date.
