Danusia Stok

Danusia Stok is an English translator working from Polish, born and educated in England before spending several years living in Poland after her marriage in 1976; she is now based in London. She has translated a wide range of Polish literature and film scholarship into English, including Krzysztof Kieslowski's own reflections in Kieslowski on Kieslowski (which she also edited), the screenplay for the Three Colours trilogy, and crime novels by Marek Krajewski. In this catalogue she is credited as the translator of Andrzej Sapkowski's first two English-language Witcher releases, The Last Wish (2007) and Blood of Elves (2008) -- the translations that introduced the series to English readers, before David French took over translating the remaining books starting with Time of Contempt.
