Author
Hannah Grace has written 3 books across 1 series. Start with Icebreaker.
Hannah Grace is the pen name of a Manchester, England-based romance author who became one of the breakout successes of BookTok-era new adult fiction. Her debut, Icebreaker, began life as a self-published, Wattpad-serialised hockey romance before Simon & Schuster picked it up for wide release in 2022; it introduces the Maple Hills world, a fictional university setting she has returned to across the series that is unofficially known by the first book's name. Wildfire (2023) followed, about two people trying to convince themselves a hookup at a summer camp was a one-time thing, and Daydream (2024) rounded out the trilogy so far, all three becoming New York Times bestsellers. Grace writes what she calls "fluffy comfort" romance: low on grit, high on banter and swoon, and consistently sunnier in tone than much of the genre's darker, more angst-driven current wave. She has chosen to remain largely anonymous as a public figure, skipping in-person events and keeping her identity low-key even as her books have become some of the best-selling romances of the decade. New readers should start with Icebreaker, both because it's the internet phenomenon that made her career and because the Maple Hills books build lightly on each other. She continues to write within the same world.
