Karen Tintori

Karen Tintori (born September 1, 1948) is an Italian-American writer of fiction and nonfiction, born in Michigan and holding a journalism degree from Wayne State University. Beyond her own solo nonfiction -- including the family memoir Unto the Daughters and Trapped, an account of the 1909 Cherry Mine disaster -- she is best known for her long writing partnership with Jill Gregory, whom she met at a mother-toddler class in 1981.

In this catalogue she appears as co-author of the Gregory/Tintori thrillers: Something Borrowed, Something Blue (1993) and Catch Me If You Can (1996), published under the joint pseudonym Jillian Karr, and The Book of Names (2007) and The Illumination (2009), published under both authors' own names. The Book of Names spent 19 weeks on German bestseller lists and was sold into 22 countries.
