Kinley MacGregor

Kinley MacGregor has written 1 book across 1 series. Start with Splendid Trilogy.

Kinley MacGregor is a pen name used by Sherrilyn Kenyon, the bestselling American author far better known for her long-running Dark-Hunter paranormal romance series. Kenyon wrote as Kinley MacGregor primarily for medieval and Highland-set historical romance in the early-to-mid 2000s, keeping the identity distinct from her contemporary paranormal work published under her own name, a common practice at the time for authors writing across genres that publishers wanted shelved and marketed separately. As Kinley MacGregor, Kenyon contributed to Where's My Hero?, a 2003 historical romance anthology alongside Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleypas, part of the same wave of multi-author Regency and medieval anthologies that were common in the genre during that period. The MacGregor byline let her write within a specifically medieval, clan-and-castle historical register distinct from both her Dark-Hunter mythology and from straightforward Regency ballroom romance. Kenyon largely retired the Kinley MacGregor name in later years as her Dark-Hunter series grew into one of paranormal romance's most successful franchises, but the MacGregor-credited historical romances remain in print and in circulation as a distinct segment of her broader bibliography.
