Laurie Goulding (also credited as L. J. Goulding) is a British editor and writer who spent years at Games Workshop's Black Library imprint, working across the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Fantasy Battle lines as Commissioning Editor and as the original director of Black Library TV, before joining Riot Games. There he became an editor on League of Legends' narrative team and later Narrative Director for the game's Creative eXpressions team, shaping character and world storytelling across multiple media. During his Black Library years he edited numerous collections, including entries in the Horus Heresy Collection series, and worked closely with authors developing their submissions as the imprint's first-read submissions editor. Born in London and raised in Burton-upon-Trent before settling in Nottingham, Goulding's career sits mostly on the editorial and narrative-direction side of genre publishing rather than as a solo novelist. A reader interested in his editorial fingerprint should look at the Horus Heresy anthologies he shepherded, which reflect the same eye for structure and worldbuilding he later brought to League of Legends. There is no screen adaptation directly tied to his authored work.
