Mallory Reaves

Mallory Reaves has written 2 books across 1 series. Start with InterWorld.

Mallory Reaves is an American author who co-wrote the two sequels to the InterWorld trilogy, The Silver Dream (2013) and Eternity's Wheel (2015), continuing the series her father, television writer and novelist Michael Reaves, originally co-created with Neil Gaiman. InterWorld follows Joey Harker, a boy who discovers he can slip between the countless parallel Earths of the Altiverse and is recruited by alternate versions of himself to help keep two opposing cosmic factions, the magic-wielding HEX and the coldly rational Binary, from tipping the balance of the multiverse permanently toward either side. Taking over as her father's co-writer on the later books, Reaves helped escalate the HEX/Binary conflict established in the first novel and bring the trilogy to its conclusion, continuing the series' central conceit of a cast made up entirely of alternate versions of the same character shaped differently by the worlds they grew up on. The InterWorld books are faster-paced and more overtly science-fantasy than most of Gaiman's solo prose, aimed at YA readers drawn to parallel-worlds premises and found-family team dynamics. Detailed biographical information about Mallory Reaves beyond her work continuing the InterWorld series is limited in the public record.
