Michael White

Michael White has written 1 book across 1 series. Start with Private.

Michael White is a British-Australian writer, broadcaster, and former musician who joined James Patterson's Private series as a co-author, contributing Private Down Under, the Australia-set installment of the international franchise built around Jack Morgan's global investigation agency. Before turning fully to prose, White was a founding member of the 1980s rock band Thrashing Doves and later built a career as a science writer and biographer. White's earlier books include popular biographies of major scientific figures such as Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin, as well as accessible popular-science titles, giving him a reputation for translating complex ideas for general readers well before his thriller-writing work. His contribution to the Private franchise extended the series' pattern of pairing Patterson with a locally rooted co-author for each international setting, using White's Australian background to ground Private Down Under in authentic regional detail. White has continued to write across popular science, biography, and fiction, representing one of the more unusually varied careers among Patterson's roster of international collaborators.
