Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is a British author whose work spans novels, comics, and screenwriting, best known for the graphic novel series The Sandman, and novels including American Gods, Coraline, and Neverwhere, blending mythology, folklore, and contemporary fantasy across multiple media. Gaiman began his career as a journalist before moving into comics, where The Sandman helped establish comics as a medium capable of sustained literary ambition, and he has since become one of the most widely adapted fantasy authors of his generation. Early in his career, Gaiman co-authored Good Omens with Terry Pratchett, a comic apocalyptic fantasy following an angel and a demon who team up to prevent the end of the world, a collaboration that combined Gaiman's darker mythological sensibility with Pratchett's satirical wit and became one of the most beloved fantasy-comedy novels of its era, later adapted into a television series.
