Paul Garrison

Paul Garrison is the pen name Justin Scott used for seven sailing-driven thrillers published between 1998 and 2014. Five are original standalone novels built around technically detailed blue-water sailing and navigation -- Fire and Ice, Red Sky at Morning, Buried at Sea, Sea Hunter, and The Ripple Effect -- extending the nautical-suspense territory Scott had already explored under his own name in The Shipkiller (1978) into a sustained specialty. The final two Garrison novels, The Janson Command (2012) and The Janson Option (2014), are different: they are official continuation novels in Robert Ludlum's Paul Janson franchise, commissioned by the Ludlum estate and published under the "Robert Ludlum's" branding, the same arrangement used for the Bourne and Covert-One franchises. Scott has continued to publish under his own name and as co-author of Clive Cussler's Isaac Bell series; Paul Garrison remains specifically the byline for his sailing-thriller and Janson continuation work.
