Terrie Farley Moran

Terrie Farley Moran is an American mystery author whose debut novel, Well Read, Then Dead -- the first entry in her Read 'Em and Eat series, set at a café and bookstore and featuring the characters Sassy and Bridgy -- won the Agatha Award for Best First Novel. The series continued with Caught Read-Handed and Read to Death, among other installments.

Moran is also a co-author, with Laura Childs, of four novels in the Scrapbooking Mysteries series, a cozy-mystery line set in New Orleans built around amateur sleuth and scrapbook-shop owner Carmela Bertrand. Separately, she writes tie-in novels continuing the Murder, She Wrote television franchise's Jessica Fletcher character, including Killing in a Koi Pond, Debonair in Death (shortlisted for a Scribe Award), Killer on the Court, and Death on the Emerald Isle.

Her short fiction has appeared in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine and Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine and has been shortlisted multiple times for Best American Mystery Stories. She has won the Derringer Award for Best Novelette for 'Inquiry and Assistance' and received an Agatha Award nomination for Best Short Story for 'A Killing at the Beausoleil.' Moran, a grandmother of seven, continues to publish across her cozy mystery series.
