Tiina Nunnally

Tiina Nunnally is an American literary translator working from Danish, Norwegian and Swedish into English. She has translated a wide range of Scandinavian fiction over several decades, including Peter Hoeg's Smilla's Sense of Snow, the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, and Sigrid Undset's medieval trilogy Kristin Lavransdatter, for which she won the PEN Translation Prize. Her work sits at the more literary end of Scandinavian translation, alongside genre fiction.
