Wesley Chu

Wesley Chu is an American science fiction and fantasy author known for the Tao series, beginning with The Lives of Tao, which follows an ordinary man who becomes host to a symbiotic alien consciousness and is drawn into a secret war, before co-authoring the Eldest Curses series with Cassandra Clare. The Eldest Curses novels, beginning with The Red Scrolls of Magic, follow Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood within Clare's larger Shadowhunter Chronicles universe, extending the franchise's world into new romantic and adventure-driven territory. Before his writing career, Chu worked as a stuntman, a background that informs the kinetic, action-forward quality of his prose across both his solo work and his Shadowhunter collaboration. His partnership with Clare brought an outside voice into her established universe while maintaining continuity with characters readers already knew from the main series.
