Land of Ghosts marks a genre pivot for E. L. James: her first young-adult fantasy novel, announced for October 2026 from Bloom Books, a long way from both the erotic romance of Fifty Shades and the thriller-tinged adult romance of The Mister duology. It follows Emily Beauchamp, a teenager who loses her family and is sent to live with a distant relative in London, where grief, a fantastical hidden world, and a new, complicated love story intertwine. A sequel, Land of Dreams , has been announced to follow.
