The Island, published in 2010 at 416 pages, followed Barefoot and preceded Silver Girl. A three-year gap separates it from Barefoot, longer than the roughly annual pace Hilderbrand kept through most of her career, but it's a standalone story like the rest of her Nantucket-set bibliography.
