About the Braxton series

Braxton is Connie Brockway's two-book Egypt-set historical romance duology spanning two generations of the same family. As You Desire (1997) follows Desdemona "Dizzy" Carlisle and adventurer Harry Braxton, whose reunion in Edwardian-era Egypt reignites an old romance amid tomb-hunting intrigue. The Other Guy's Bride (2011), published fourteen years later, moves the story forward a generation to follow Harry and Dizzy's own daughter, who finds herself entangled in a fresh Egyptian adventure of her own.

As with her Royal Agents series, Brockway returned to this pairing more than a decade after the original book to give it a generational sequel, carrying the exotic Egyptian desert setting and adventure-romance tone across both novels while shifting the central romance to the next generation of the family.
