Author
Annabelle Oh has written 1 book across 1 series. Start with Camp Half-Blood.
Annabelle Oh is a children's and YA author based in Southern California, best known before this collaboration for Maggie and the Story Shadows, a middle-grade novel. She is Korean American, was born on Halloween, and has also written articles for national and international publications alongside her fiction.
Oh is the co-author, with Rick Riordan, of The Wild Zone (September 2026), the opening volume of the new Camp Half-Blood series set in the world of Percy Jackson. The book is narrated by Katie Kim, daughter of Ares, and is designed as a standalone entry point for readers who have never read a Percy Jackson novel, while still slotting into the timeline of the original series during the autumn between The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters. Camp Half-Blood is structured so that each planned volume pairs Riordan with a different co-author and a different new demigod narrator, with Oh's book leading off the series.
Readers new to Oh's work can start with either Maggie and the Story Shadows for her solo middle-grade fiction, or The Wild Zone if they're coming to her through the Riordanverse and want a fresh entry point into that world.
Start with the Camp Half-Blood series (first published 2026) and read it in publication order.
The next release is scheduled for 29 September 2026.
