About the Camp Half-Blood series

Camp Half-Blood is a new set of standalone novels set at the demigod summer camp Percy Jackson fans already know, told from the perspective of four new campers who arrive during the autumn between The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters -- around the same time Percy himself is off dealing with the fallout of book one. Rick Riordan has said these four new demigods went on to play an important, previously unseen role in the battle against the Titans that closes out the original Percy Jackson series, filling in a corner of that timeline no earlier book covered.

Each volume is co-written by Riordan with a different author and centers a different narrator: The Wild Zone opens the series with Katie Kim, daughter of Ares, co-written with Annabelle Oh. Riordan has described the books as standalone entry points designed to welcome readers who've never picked up a Percy Jackson novel before, while rewarding longtime fans who'll recognize exactly where each story slots into the timeline they already know.
