About the Cafferty & Quinn series

Cafferty & Quinn follows Danni Cafferty, who inherits her father's antiques shop on New Orleans's Royal Street along with its habit of stocking objects that turn out to be genuinely, dangerously haunted, and Michael Quinn, a former cop turned private investigator who becomes her partner in solving the supernatural-tinged crimes the shop's inventory keeps attracting. Heather Graham built the series across four full-length novels -- Let the Dead Sleep (2013), Waking the Dead (2014), The Dead Play On (2015) and Bitter Reckoning (2018) -- interspersed with four shorter e-novella entries that fill in the gaps between the main books: Infernal Night (2014), Blood on the Bayou (2016), Toys in the Attic and Big Easy Evil (both 2017). Like much of Graham's other work, the series blends a police-procedural investigative structure with paranormal elements treated as straightforwardly real rather than explained away, set against a strongly evoked French Quarter backdrop of antique shops, voodoo history and old New Orleans families. Danni and Quinn's relationship, both professional and romantic, develops across the series alongside the case-of-the-book plotting.
