Rhonda Bird is a buttoned-up former attorney; her teenage half-sister Baby is a street-smart survivor with none of Rhonda's polish. When they unexpectedly inherit a struggling Los Angeles detective agency, the mismatched pair have to learn to work together while untangling cases that reach into the city's darker corners.
