About the Cage of Lies series
Cage of Lies is set in a walled city where the surviving population hides from the wasteland beyond, having been taught that nothing outside survived the Contamination that caused society's collapse. Maya Summers has never questioned that story, until she and her friend Taylor are sentenced to serve as messengers in the SubWars — ferrying supplies through no man's land alongside the city's murderers and rapists as punishment — and Maya discovers that some of what's out there didn't simply die; it changed into something else.
