Geronimo Stilton and the Kingdom of Fantasy pulls the mouse journalist entirely out of his usual contemporary mysteries and into full-blown high fantasy. Summoned by a magic book, Geronimo travels to the Kingdom of Fantasy, an enchanted realm of dragons, fairies, wizards, and warring kingdoms, where he's cast as a reluctant hero tasked with quests that would terrify the famously anxious, food-loving Geronimo readers know from the main series -- rescuing captives, breaking curses, and facing down monsters far scarier than a deadline at The Rodent's Gazette.

Each entry is a longer, more lavishly illustrated volume than a typical Geronimo Stilton book -- closer to an oversized picture-book fantasy epic than a quick chapter-book mystery -- built around a self-contained quest across a different corner of the Kingdom. The format keeps Geronimo's signature comic cowardice and heart intact even as the stakes and scale go up, giving young fantasy fans an entry point that still feels unmistakably like the Geronimo Stilton they know.

Running since 2009 with 17 English volumes so far, Kingdom of Fantasy is one of Geronimo Stilton's longest-running and most consistently popular spin-off lines, with new entries still appearing years after most other sub-series have concluded.

Read Geronimo Stilton and the Kingdom of Fantasy in publication order (used here), starting with The Kingdom of Fantasy (2009) -- each book is a self-contained quest, so you can also start anywhere, though later books occasionally reference earlier ones' events.
