Geronimo Stilton: Spacemice jumps the mouse-journalist premise thousands of years into the future, following Geronimo Stiltonix, a far-future descendant of the familiar Geronimo, as a reporter for the Galactic Gazette aboard MouStar One. Instead of dodging deadlines in New Mouse City, this Geronimo dodges asteroid fields, alien encounters, and space pirates, accompanied by future counterparts of his usual family and colleagues -- Trapicus, Thea Stiltonix, and Benjamin Stiltonix among them.
The series keeps the same disaster-prone, good-hearted protagonist and the same illustrated, colorful-typography chapter-book format that defines every Geronimo Stilton line, while swapping the setting's flavor entirely: robots, alien species, spaceship mishaps and interplanetary rescue missions replace the earthbound mysteries of the flagship series. Each book is a standalone adventure built around a single sci-fi premise -- a planet made of ice, an underwater world, an invisible planet -- rather than an ongoing plot.
Running 12 books from 2014 to 2018, Spacemice was published alongside Cavemice as one of two time-displaced spin-offs (one prehistoric, one futuristic) that let Elisabetta Dami's team explore genres beyond the main series' contemporary mystery-adventure format.
