About the Nicole Foster series

Nicole Foster was a homicide detective until her ex-partner and lover drove her off the force, leaving her broke, addicted to gambling, and with nothing left to lose. Gregg Olsen builds this two-book series around that wreckage: a disgraced investigator pulled back into cases that force her to work the edges of a system that no longer trusts her, in The Sound of Rain and its follow-up, The Weight of Silence.
