Erin Hunter

Erin Hunter has written 75 books across 3 series. Start with Warriors.

Erin Hunter is the name behind Warriors, Seekers, and Survivors — bestselling series of animal-adventure novels for young readers that follow wild cats, bears, and dogs living by codes of clan loyalty, survival, and nature red in tooth and claw. Warriors, the flagship series, began with Into the Wild in 2003 and follows generations of feral cats organised into warring Clans in the forest; it has grown into one of the longest-running series in children's publishing, still releasing new story arcs more than two decades later. Seekers follows three young bears searching for a mythical, human-free refuge, while Survivors follows a pack of dogs banding together to survive after a disaster separates them from their human owners. Erin Hunter is in fact a publisher-owned pen name shared by a small team of writers, working with a London book packager, who plot and write the books collaboratively so the voice and quality stay consistent across dozens of volumes and multiple ongoing series. The name was chosen to evoke both the wilderness setting and a sense of the hunt. New readers should start with Into the Wild, the beginning of Warriors and the true entry point to the whole Erin Hunter universe; Seekers and Survivors can each be read as fully self-contained series in their own right. New Warriors installments continue to be published every year.
