About the Bay Area Players series

Bay Area Players is Meghan Quinn's newest sports-romance duet, moving her signature banter-forward, fake-dating comedy into San Francisco professional football. Just for the Cameras opens the series pairing Graydon St. John, a brooding defensive end for the fictional San Francisco Foghorns, with Maple Baker, a zookeeper drafted into a media-stunt public-outreach program alongside him; a fake-dating arrangement staged for the press predictably stops feeling fake. Just for the Plot follows with a forbidden, slow-burn romance built around late-night book-club confessions between two people who keep insisting they're just friends.

As with her Vancouver Agitators hockey books, Quinn keeps the emotional stakes real underneath the jokes, giving this newer football-set duet the same grump-meets-sunshine, found-family-adjacent energy that built her sports-romance readership.

How to read this series

Publication order: Just for the Cameras, then Just for the Plot. Both are standalone romances with their own couple, connected by the same Foghorns team and city, so either can be read first, but publication order lets the earlier couple's cameo in the second book land as intended.
