About the Hollow Graves Duet series

Hollow Graves Duet is H. D. Carlton's 2026 return to the dark, obsessive contemporary romance that made Cat and Mouse a hit. It follows Reverie Adams, daughter of a notorious serial killer known as The Locksmith, and Dreadful Sharpe, the son of one of The Locksmith's victims — two people bound by a violent legacy neither chose, whose connection curdles into something as consuming as it is dangerous.

My Dreadful Darling, book one, released April 2026 and ends on a cliffhanger; the concluding volume, My Darling Reverie, was originally slated for May 2026 but shifted to August 27, 2026. It's a separate story from Cat and Mouse and the earlier Zero Saga, sharing only Carlton's signature obsessive, morally-grey intensity.

How to read this series

Read My Dreadful Darling before My Darling Reverie — book one ends on a cliffhanger and the duet tells a single continuous story. No connection to Cat and Mouse or The Zero Saga; new characters and setting.
