Caught Up in Love is an early Lauren Blakely contemporary romance series following a circle of friends whose fake-dating and second-chance schemes keep tangling into real relationships. The Second Chance Plan, The Pretending Plot and The Private Rehearsal originally released in 2013 under the titles Caught Up in Us, Pretending He's Mine and Playing with Her Heart, before Blakely revised and re-released all three under their current titles in 2020. The Dating Proposal (2019) later joined the series with a new couple.
As one of Blakely's earlier series, Caught Up in Love established the fake-relationship and friends-to-lovers tropes she returned to often across her later catalog, and its 2020 retitling reflects a broader wave of backlist rebranding she carried out across several early series around that time.
Four: The Second Chance Plan, The Pretending Plot and The Private Rehearsal (all originally 2013, re-released under these titles in 2020), plus The Dating Proposal (2019).
