About the Team Zero series

Team Zero was Rina Kent's first published series, following five members of an elite, ethically compromised assassin unit -- the Pit's first generation of trained killers -- as each is paired off across a self-contained dark-romance/romantic-suspense entry. Lured opens the series with Dominic, a manipulative, sociopathic handler, and the analyst who becomes obsessed with him; Crowed, Ghosted, Shadowed, and Misted follow, each centering a different assassin (Crow, Ghost, Shadow, Hawk) and the woman who gets pulled into his orbit. All five run on the same premise: morally ruinous men doing morally ruinous work, softened only by the women who refuse to be intimidated by them, and all five end without a cliffhanger despite sharing a loose connective world.

Lured itself has an unusual publishing history -- it began as a free prequel novella called Charmed before Kent rewrote and expanded it into a full-length novel and renumbered it as Book 1. Team Zero also seeded the wider 'Rinaverse' that Kent's later work (The Rhodes, the Throne Duet) would loosely connect back to, making it a formative, if lower-profile, entry point into her catalogue for readers who want to see where her dark-romance sensibility started. Two further planned entries, Inked and Scarred, were announced but ultimately cancelled and never published, so the five books here represent the complete run.
