Him is the breakout male/male sports romance co-written by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy, following Wes Cooper and Jamie Canning, two closeted college hockey players and former best friends whose old feelings resurface when they're unexpectedly reunited on the same NHL-track team years after a falling-out drove them apart. Him tells the story of their reunion and the long-buried feelings neither ever fully got over. Us picks up the relationship as the two men, now more established, navigate coming out publicly in the notoriously homophobic world of professional hockey while building a real future together. Epic, a novella-length coda, checks in on the couple further down the road.

How to read this series

Read in publication order — Him, then Us, then the novella Epic — the trilogy tells one continuous relationship across all three entries, following Wes and Jamie from their college reunion through building an out, public life together. This is a single continuing love story, not standalone entries, so read start to finish.
