Goosebumps House of Shivers, launched in September 2023, is R.L. Stine's current, fifth relaunch of the Goosebumps brand and its most deliberate reset yet: after nearly fifteen years built around Slappy the dummy, House of Shivers retires him from center stage in favor of an entirely new lineup of monsters intended to become just as memorable. New illustrator Robert Ball gives the covers a brighter, more stylized look than predecessor Brandon Dorman's more realistic art, and the books adopt titled chapters for the first time in the numbered Goosebumps line's history.
The formula underneath is unmistakably classic Goosebumps: an ordinary kid or sibling pair stumbles into a genuinely creepy situation -- a goblin loose on a Monday, a summer camp haunted by a Bigfoot-like creature, a walking mummy, a name better left unsaid -- rendered in short, cliffhanger-driven chapters aimed at middle-grade readers. Each book is a fresh, standalone cast and setting, continuing the format Stine established with the original 1992 series over three decades earlier.
As the active, ongoing Goosebumps line, House of Shivers continues to add new titles on a regular schedule, with further entries already announced beyond what has published so far.
Read Goosebumps House of Shivers in publication order (used here), starting with Scariest. Book. Ever. (2023) -- every book is a standalone story with a new cast, so you can also start anywhere. As the newest and currently active numbered Goosebumps line, it's a natural jumping-on point for a reader with no history with the earlier series.
This entry covers every House of Shivers book published so far. It succeeded Goosebumps SlappyWorld (2017-2023) as the brand's current line, tracked separately in this catalogue, and is ongoing with further titles announced.
7 books have been published as of this entry, from Scariest. Book. Ever. (Sept 2023) through What We Do at Night (Aug 2026), with an 8th, How to Train Your Dummy, already announced for March 2027.

Yes -- it's R.L. Stine's current, actively-publishing Goosebumps line, with new titles released roughly twice a year.
No -- House of Shivers deliberately introduces an entirely new lineup of monsters rather than continuing Slappy, who had been the central recurring villain of the preceding SlappyWorld line.
It's the same R.L. Stine brand and format, but is tracked as its own separate numbered series from the original 1992-97 run and the Series 2000, HorrorLand, Most Wanted and SlappyWorld relaunches that came before it.
