Walter Nash is drawn in by the FBI to help take down a global criminal network that launders its money through legitimate finance, in David Baldacci's newest series, launched with Nash Falls in November 2025. The premise plays to Baldacci's long-standing interest in white-collar crime and the porous line between legal finance and organized crime, a thread also running through his Travis Devine series, but here filtered through an informant's-eye view of a criminal empire from the inside.
In Hope Rises (2026), Nash resurfaces under the alias Dillon Hope, working as an informant against a global criminal operation run by the ruthless Victoria Steers, with the stakes and his personal danger both escalating. A third book has been announced for 2027 but is not yet titled. Readers who enjoy Baldacci's finance-and-conspiracy thrillers — particularly the Travis Devine series — are the natural next stop.
