About the Eclipsed Evolution series

During a nationwide solar eclipse, a portal opens between Earth and a dying world, and refugees calling themselves "Neighbors" begin arriving with technology so far beyond human science that it looks like magic. Dr. Renee Caisson, a scientist recruited into a classified government initiative studying the new arrivals, is assigned to August, a Neighbor rapidly adapting to Earth's environment -- and to a mystery about what the Neighbors are really searching for. As Renee gets closer to August and to the truth, she starts to suspect their stated goal of finding a way home is hiding a far more dangerous agenda.
